Android upcoming Marshmallow 6.0 Features

Android Marshmallow is an upcoming update to the android mobile operating system It is expected to release in Q3 2015 (tentative).
Marshmallow will primarily focus on incremental improvements and other feature additions.

Features:

  • Android Marshmallow redesigned the permission model. While installation of app it will not grant all the permission asked by the app, but instead it will prompt the user for asking the permission.
  • This permission model would only be applicable to the app compiled and developed for marshmallow and using  Software Development Kit.
  • It has also introduced the new power scheme named Doze, which would reduce the level of background activity when it would find that it is being not used by the user. Hopefully doubling the device battery according the google.
  • Introduced prompt for network setting, asked for the first time and also clears network related settings.
  • Introduced the native support for fingerprint recognition, which would allow the user to unlock devices and also authentication of the Play Store and its purchases. Also you can use that authentication for the other installed apps.
  • It would also support the USB-Type C, also it would instruct native device to charge the connected device.
  • Marshmallow will not prompt for opening links, instead it would open in inbuilt specified apps.
  • The API level of the marshmallow in 23.
